Sofitel Legend opened as a State Guesthouse in 1953, this iconic building provides a unique sense of place and time in a city that was China’s capital. The architecture is a harmonious blend of French and Sino-Russian inspiration plus Xianese styling. A sensitive renovation over 28 months the hotel installed state of the art technology while making the most of its spacious rooms, lofty ceilings, elegant mouldings and coving, and many art deco features.
